Congratulations to Mr. Kershaw

for being selected ECV's Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Kershaw is Department Chair for Math, on School Site Council, and manages to teach amazingly! He always puts students first and this year dedicated a lot of time to getting CAHSEE testing to be in the best possible environment for students to be successful. Thank you Mr. Kershaw for all that you do and congratulations! You deserve it.

Congratulations to Liz Castagnera! She is the Golden Apple Award Winner for the District Special Education Programs!

Liz excels at looking at each student to determine exactly what will meet their individual needs.  She truly tailors a program to maximize the educational experience for each student.  Liz treats each student with respect, has high expectations for them and holds them accountable. Liz takes her own time to support students in extracurricular activities.

Liz is the most caring, positive person.  She brings all of that to her work as a teacher.  She is respectful and a true advocate.  Liz models that for all staff, students and visitors to our program.  She works tirelessly for her students and for people with disabilities throughout the community.  We are so lucky to work with her each day!
