"The teacher I am talking about is an incredible teacher, father, coach, and overall person. He uses a number of methods to support his students, asking them to think critically about any of the ideas he is teaching them. Often mistaken for a mad professor, who occasionally would wear a sports coat instead of a lab coat, his classroom is an experiment, where he is constantly manipulating lessons and they way he delivers them. Although some students don’t get his references to movies, they love the way he reenacts them as if they were in the movie themselves. This connection that he provides to his students is what he is most remembered by. He is often seen outside of his class sending his farewell’s by name to his smiling students telling them a quick word of how they performed as a student that day. He acts as a coach to his students, and his students perform, like when he was the all time winning Freshman football head coach for our El Cajon Braves. If he wouldn’t have been a teacher he most likely would have been a coach and he brings that mentality into the classroom. His love of sports is deep, like family, and he believes he is part of family of the San Diego State Aztecs. He talks to students and teachers about sports and life, and his passion about both shines through his grin, and usually a shake of his head. He now is the coach of his family of 4, and is teaching life lessons at home too. Back here at El Cajon though, he will be remembered for the Italian man with the sports coat, a t-shirt, and unshaven face smiling and saying, “Don’t hate me because I’m pretty”, but he’s more than just that."
